This legal notice governs access to and use of www.antmastershop.com and applies to everyone who uses the website. Please read it before using the website. Purchases are also governed by the Terms of Service, and how we process your data is explained in the Privacy Policy.

1. Who owns this website

In accordance with Ley 34/2002, de servicios de la sociedad de la información y de comercio electrónico (LSSI-CE, the Spanish Information Society Services and E-commerce Act), these are the details of the website owner:

In this notice, “AntMaster”, “we” and “the shop” refer to the owner indicated above.

2. What we offer on this website

AntMaster is an online shop selling ant nests that we design and make by hand in our workshop in Cartagena. On the website you can:

  • buy ant nests made of plaster and acrylic (Terra range) and of 3D-printed PLA (3D range), as well as foraging areas, kits, connectors, spare parts, substrates, food and gift cards;
  • order queens and colonies of species native to Spain, which we offer at €0 (you only pay for shipping);
  • read care guides and species breeding sheets;
  • create a customer account, join the loyalty programme and contact us by email, through the contact form or via chat.

We ship to Spain and the rest of the European Union, and you can also collect your order from the workshop. Live animals are shipped to mainland Spain only on Mondays and Tuesdays; if temperatures below 5 °C or above 30 °C are expected at the destination, we hold the shipment and let you know. They are not shipped to the Balearic Islands, the Canary Islands, Ceuta or Melilla, and they are shipped to other European Union countries only if we confirm it to you in writing before you place your order. Their live arrival guarantee is explained on our Guarantee and after-sales service page.

Releasing ants into the wild without authorisation is prohibited by Ley 42/2007, del Patrimonio Natural y de la Biodiversidad (the Spanish Natural Heritage and Biodiversity Act). If you can no longer look after a colony, write to us and we will help you find a solution.

The conditions for purchases, shipping and returns are set out in the Terms of Service, the Shipping Policy and the Refund Policy. The Terms of Service also explain the steps for placing an order, how to correct errors before paying, the languages in which you can enter into the contract and how we keep the contract.

Prices and shipping costs. Prices are in euros, or in the local currency in some European Union countries, and include VAT. Shipping costs are not included in the product prices:

  • Mainland Spain: free on orders of €75 or more. Below that amount, the cost is calculated at checkout based on weight and destination; urgent shipping for live animals costs €10 (free on orders of €75 or more).
  • Rest of the European Union: €15, free on orders of €75 or more.
  • Balearic Islands, Canary Islands, Ceuta and Melilla: €15, no free shipping.
  • Collection from the workshop in Cartagena: free.

The €75 threshold is calculated on the value of the products after discounts, excluding shipping. You will see the exact cost before you confirm your order. The Canary Islands, Ceuta and Melilla are outside the VAT territory: for shipments to these destinations, import taxes (IGIC or IPSI) and customs charges may be collected on delivery. These amounts are not included in the price and are paid by the recipient.

3. Conditions of use

You can browse the website without registering. Browsing does not create any commercial relationship with us. A purchase contract only exists when you place an order, as set out in the Terms of Service.

By using the website, you agree to:

  • use it lawfully, in good faith and in accordance with these conditions;
  • provide true information in your orders, in forms and in your account, and not share your account access codes with anyone;
  • not try to access restricted areas or other people’s accounts, and not damage, overload or disrupt the website;
  • not introduce viruses or malicious code, and not copy content in bulk or by automated means;
  • not send, through the chat, forms or reviews, any illegal or offensive content, unsolicited advertising or anything that infringes other people’s rights.

If someone breaches these conditions, we may remove the content they have sent and, if the breach is serious or repeated, block their account. We will explain the reason to you, unless the law prevents us from doing so. This does not affect orders you have already placed or any legal action that may apply.

4. Intellectual and industrial property

The content of this website belongs to Mario Cascado Nieto or is used with the permission of its owners. This content includes:

  • the designs of AntMaster ant nests, modules, connectors and foraging areas (Terra and 3D ranges) and their 3D models;
  • photographs, videos and graphics of the products and the workshop;
  • texts, descriptions, care guides and breeding sheets;
  • the AntMaster trademark, name and logo, and the design and structure of the website.

This content is protected by Spanish and European intellectual and industrial property law. You may view, print or save it for your personal use, and you may share links to our pages. To reproduce, distribute, communicate to the public or transform it, you need our written permission, except where the law allows this without permission. In particular, you may not:

  • make or sell copies of our ant nests, parts or 3D models, or use our designs for commercial purposes;
  • use our photos, videos or texts in other shops, websites, marketplaces or adverts;
  • use the AntMaster trademark in a way that suggests you have a relationship with us that does not exist.

Reviews, photos and comments published by customers belong to their authors. By publishing them, you allow us to display them free of charge on this website until you ask us to remove them. Third-party trademarks and logos that appear on the website, such as those of payment methods, belong to their owners.

If you believe that any content on the website infringes your rights, write to us at info@antmastershop.com. Tell us who you are, which content it is, where it is and why you believe it infringes your rights. We will review it and, where appropriate, remove it promptly.

5. Liability

We carefully check the information on the website: dimensions, materials, availability, prices and breeding sheets. The description of each product forms part of our offer. Even so, there may be errors or out-of-date information. We will correct any error as soon as we detect it; if you spot one, please let us know. If an error affects an order already placed, the Terms of Service apply.

The care guides and breeding sheets are general information. Every colony is different, and how it develops also depends on how it is cared for.

We look after the availability and security of the website. Communications are encrypted (HTTPS), and payments are handled by payment providers, so we do not store your full card details. Even so, we cannot guarantee that the website will always work without interruptions or errors, for example during maintenance or because of technical failures beyond our control.

We are not liable for damage caused by another person using the website contrary to the law or to these conditions, unless it is due to a lack of diligence on our part. Nor are we liable for third-party content, such as reviews, as long as we are not aware that it is unlawful; once we become aware of it, we will remove it promptly. If you see content on the website that you believe is illegal, let us know at info@antmastershop.com with the link and the reason.

Nothing in this notice limits the rights that consumer law gives you, such as the 14-day right of withdrawal or the 3-year legal guarantee on ant nests and other items (the law excludes live animals from this guarantee), or our liability in cases where the law does not allow it to be excluded.

6. Links

The website contains links to third-party sites, such as our social media, payment platforms and carriers. We do not control those sites and are not responsible for what they publish, and each one is governed by its own terms and privacy policies. If we become aware that a link leads to unlawful content, we will remove it promptly.

You may link to any page of antmastershop.com on these conditions: the link must not suggest a relationship or endorsement that does not exist, must not present our content as your own (for example, within a frame) and must not be on a page with unlawful content.

7. Personal data and cookies

The controller of your personal data is the owner indicated in section 1. We process your data in accordance with Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (GDPR) and Ley Orgánica 3/2018 (LOPDGDD, the Spanish Data Protection and Digital Rights Act). In the Privacy Policy we explain what we use your data for, who we share it with, how long we keep it and how to exercise your rights. Which cookies we use, who sets them and how long they last is explained in the Cookie Policy. To change your cookie preferences at any time, use the “Cookie preferences” link in the footer.

8. Complaints

If something has gone wrong, write to us. You can make a complaint by email to info@antmastershop.com, by phone on +34 634 716 082, through the shop’s chat or contact form, or by post to Plaza Bari 14, 30319 Cartagena (Murcia), Spain. Include your name, your order number if you have it, and what happened.

We will send you a written acknowledgement with a reference number and reply as soon as possible and, at the latest, within fifteen days of the date you submit your complaint.

Official complaint forms (hojas de reclamaciones): Official complaint forms are available to consumers and users. You can request them by email to info@antmastershop.com, by post or at the workshop, and we will send them to you within 3 working days at most.

We are not a member of any consumer arbitration system or other alternative dispute resolution body. If we do not resolve your complaint, we will tell you in writing of a consumer dispute resolution body that can handle it and whether we will take part in the procedure.

You can also contact, at any time, the municipal consumer information office (OMIC) in your area or the consumer affairs services of your autonomous community (Spanish region). If you live in another European Union country, the European Consumer Centre in your country can help you free of charge.

9. Applicable law and courts

This legal notice is governed by Spanish law. If you are a consumer and live in another European Union country, you also keep the protection given to you by the mandatory rules of your country.

As a consumer, you can bring a claim before the courts where you live or the courts where we are based. We can only bring a claim against you before the courts where you live. If you are acting as a business or professional, the general rules on which court has jurisdiction apply.

10. Languages and changes to this notice

The website is available in Spanish, English and French. If a translation does not match the Spanish text, the interpretation most favourable to you as a consumer applies.

We may update this legal notice when the law or the website changes. The version in force is always the one published on this page, with its last-updated date. Changes do not affect orders already placed, which are governed by the conditions in force when you placed them.
