What accessories do you need for your anthill? For most setups, the essentials are a good substrate, a safe hydration system and leak-proof connection pieces between modules. If you're just starting out, the External Water Feeder – Twist System, with a removable 20 ml reservoir, is the most practical option: it lets you refill and clean without opening the foraging area, and it works for colonies of any size, from Pheidole to Camponotus.
Besides the water feeder, complete your setup with substrates suited to the species, a Terra Feeder (compatible with mini, M, L and XL foraging areas), connectors to join modules firmly and leak-free, and a Gate Lock to secure openings during maintenance or transport. How often should I refill the External Twist Water Feeder?
The removable reservoir has a 20 ml capacity. In active colonies it usually lasts several days; check it every 3-4 days and refill it before it runs dry.
Do the connectors work with any Terra module?
The Modular Connector is compatible with Terra M, Terra L and Terra XL, and with AntMaster 3D anthills. Check the exact model before buying.
Which accessory prevents leaks when transporting the anthill?
The Gate Lock secures the gates open or closed so they don't move during transport or maintenance. It's compatible with Terra and 3D anthills.
