Discover our range of modular anthills, designed and manufactured by AntMaster to accompany your colony from its first weeks through to maturity. Each module combines durable materials, full visibility of the galleries and a 100% leak-proof connection system, so you can expand your setup without ever having to move your ants. If you're starting with a foundation or a queen, the Terra Starter V2 Anthill is the starting point we usually recommend before moving up to a larger module.
The collection currently brings together 15 models within the modular Terra system, in formats ranging from the 5 × 9 cm Terra Starter, designed for foundations and queens, to the 23 × 23 cm Terra XL, for large, already-established colonies. They all share the same technical base: an antifungal plaster interior to distribute humidity, a matte PLA structure with high-transparency acrylic, and leak-proof connections compatible with each other. Besides the classic Terra system, the range includes evaporation, vertical, high-humidity and dry variants, to suit the species and the stage of the colony. As your colony grows, you can expand it by connecting a Terra M V2 module or a larger one, without having to move the ants to a new anthill.

Frequently asked questions
Which anthill should I choose for the size of my colony?
For a queen or a foundation, the Terra Starter (5 × 9 cm) is usually enough. Once you're into the first few dozen workers, the Terra M V2 (11 × 11 cm) gives more room. For established medium or large colonies, the Terra L or the Terra XL offer more interior volume. Exact ranges vary by species and are listed on each product page.
How do the modules connect to each other?
All modules in the Terra system use the same leak-proof connection system, with gates and stoppers included. You can join two modules or add a foraging area without dismantling the nest or moving the colony.
How is humidity maintained inside the anthill?
Most modules use an antifungal plaster base together with a built-in water tower, which distribute humidity gradually. The "Dry" and "evaporation" models change this system for species with different needs; we explain this in more detail in the humidity systems guide linked above.
Can I expand a small anthill later on?
Yes. All modules in the Terra system are compatible with each other, so you can start with a Starter or an M and add larger modules as the colony grows, without needing to move the ants.

Do I need tools to connect the modules?
Yes. Your first order always includes an M3 Allen key, which you can use both to assemble foraging areas and to connect anthills together.

Our modules are designed to be compatible with most common species, both native and exotic. From Messor barbarus to Camponotus or Pheidole, the materials and internal conditions support safe, comfortable rearing.
