Every AntMaster anthill is designed so your colony can grow safely, naturally and with easy maintenance for years to come.
An AntMaster modular 3D ant nest is a module printed in matte PLA with a sculpted interior: chambers and tunnels in relief, inspired by the structure of a dug-out nest. Compared with a flat ant nest, the three-dimensional design makes better use of the space and organises traffic between the brood, resting and storage areas. There are four sizes: the Starter 3D (€12.99) for a newly founded queen, the M 3D (€23.99) for small and medium colonies, the L 3D (€49.99) and the XL 3D (€99.99), which keeps the dual humidity system of the Terra XL for large colonies.
3D kits and foraging areas
If you are starting from scratch, the 3D kits already come with a module and a foraging area: 3D Starter Kit (€19.99), Kit M 3D (€43.99) and Kit L 3D (€74.99). The 3D foraging areas have a matte PLA base in relief and range from the Mini (€13.99) to the M (€23.99), L (€33.99), XL (€69.99) and XXL (€111.99).
Do they connect to the Terra modules?
Yes. The 3D range uses the same screw connection system as the Terra range, so you can mix both ranges in one setup and expand without moving the colony.
Do I need to add sand or substrate?
No. The relief is printed into the module itself, so the nest is ready to use with no added decoration.
3D or Terra?
If your species needs a humidity gradient created by plaster, the Terra range is the straightforward choice. If you want a naturalistic interior that is lighter and looks different, go for 3D. We compare them with prices in the starter kit comparison.
Which colony size is each one for?
The Starter covers founding and the first weeks; the M, colonies of a few dozen workers; the L and XL, established colonies that need volume and several connections.

Yes! All our modules are designed with a universal connection system, which lets you combine different sizes and formats without any problem. You can start with a small module and expand as your colony grows.
Do I need tools to connect the modules?
Yes. Your first order always includes an M3 Allen key, which you can use both to assemble foraging areas and to connect anthills together.
Which species can live in these modules?
Our modules are designed to be compatible with most common species, both native and exotic. From Messor barbarus to Camponotus or Pheidole, the materials and internal conditions support safe, comfortable rearing.
