AntMaster is a Spanish workshop that handcrafts modular ant nests. We don't resell: we design, produce and test every model before selling it, and we ship it from Spain. We work with two ranges. The Terra range combines antifungal plaster with high-transparency acrylic, plus a humidity system you can refill without opening the nest. The 3D range is printed in matte PLA, with chambers and tunnels sculpted in relief that mimic the structure of an excavated nest. Both share the same screw connection system, escape-proof and compatible with each other, so your setup grows with the colony instead of becoming obsolete.
Who's behind it
AntMaster is the project of Mario Cascado, who runs the workshop and writes the guides on the blog. When you write to the shop with a question about your colony, you get an answer from the same person who makes the ant nests.
Why we make modular ant nests
An ant colony never stops growing. The problem with almost every ant nest on the market is that it's bought for one colony size and stops being useful a year later, when moving the ants is a hassle and a risk. That's why our whole catalog is modular: you start with a small nest the size of a founding colony and connect modules and foraging areas as you need them, without ever moving the colony to a new nest.
How we work
- Made in-house in Spain. Every module is assembled, filled with plaster or printed, and finished by hand in our workshop.
- Materials designed for the colony, not just for the photo: antifungal plaster that spreads humidity, transparent acrylic so you can really see what happens inside, and matte PLA that doesn't glare.
- Free ants. Queens and colonies of native species cost €0 in our Free Ants collection: we believe the equipment is what should cost money, not the animal.
- Shipping from Spain to the whole European Union, with an express service for live animals and free shipping on orders over €75.
- Real support. We answer by chat and email, before and after your purchase, including when the question is about the colony rather than the product.
What you can expect from us
We publish the real measurements, materials and limitations of each model, and the reviews on each product page come from verified customers, with their photos. If an ant nest isn't right for your species or your colony size, we'd rather tell you before you buy than handle a return afterwards.
